Job summary

Faulkner Automotive Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage accounting operations for our 28 dealership locations. You will process payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain records while supporting colleagues across departments in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years in AR, attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook. We offer training, growth opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of accounts receivable experience preferred; automotive industry experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Receive all payments and receipts from the service and parts departments daily.
• Record every transaction and reconcile receipts.
• Process credit card charges daily and prepare cash deposits.
• Prepare monthly statements and invoices; review delinquent accounts.
• Work with customers to reconcile accounts and coordinate with collection agencies if needed.
• Approve credit applications by performing background checks and updating customer records.

As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for the accounting operations of multiple Faulkner dealerships! The Accounts Receivable Clerk processes payments to customers’ accounts and takes appropriate action on overdue payments. You will also maintain records and deposits.

The typical schedule for an Accounts Receivable Clerk is Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive all payments and receipts on a daily basis from the service and parts department.
• Record every transaction and reconcile all receipts.
• Process credit card charges daily and prepare cash deposits.
• Prepare monthly statements and invoices. Review monthly accounts receivable statements and attach delinquent bills.
• Work with customers to reconcile any accounts and work with collection agencies, if necessary, to obtain overdue payments.
• Approve credit applications by performing background checks and updating customer account information.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of related accounts receivable experience preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in automotive industry or in retail accounting office.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet all deadlines.
• Must have the ability to work well with all levels of staff and management.
• Effective organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Experience with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
