Sorren, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to focus on AR collections, proactively contacting clients by phone and email to secure payment, resolve disputes, and reduce aging balances in a remote, high-volume environment.
The role requires 1–3 years in AR, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently with disciplined outreach and accurate recordkeeping across multiple systems.
The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for the collection of outstanding accounts receivable and the resolution of past-due client balances. This role focuses exclusively on AR collections activities, proactively contacting clients by phone and email to secure payment, resolve disputes, and reduce aging balances. The ideal candidate is persistent, organized, and comfortable managing a high-volume portfolio of accounts in a structured, remote environment.
Accounts Receivable Monitoring
Monitor client account balances and aging reports daily to identify accounts requiring collection action. Prioritize outreach based on balance age, dollar amount, and risk level. Track promises-to-pay and follow up promptly when commitments are missed. Record and reconcile incoming client payments across multiple systems, ensuring balance and aging reports stay accurate and current. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of collection status for all assigned accounts.
Outreach Collections
Conduct outbound phone calls to clients with past-due balances to secure payment commitments and resolve delinquent accounts. Send collections emails and written correspondence following approved templates and escalation guidelines. Maintain a disciplined cadence of outreach (calls and emails) across an assigned portfolio of past-due accounts. Negotiate payment arrangements and short-term payment plans within assigned authority levels. Document every call, email, and client interaction in the A/R system with clear, timely notes.
Dispute & Issue Resolution
Respond to client inquiries related to balances due, payment status, and payment history. Investigate and resolve billing disputes that are delaying payment, coordinating with internal teams as needed. Escalate complex disputes, non-responsive accounts, or high‑risk balances to leadership in a timely manner.
Reporting & Process Support
Prepare regular collections status updates, aging summaries, and call/email activity reports for leadership. Support month‑end close by ensuring assigned accounts are current and properly documented. Identify recurring collection obstacles or process inefficiencies and recommend improvements. Follow standardized collections procedures, escalation paths, and internal controls.
