Job summary

Lester Building Systems, a family‑oriented company in Lester Prairie, MN, is seeking an Accounts Receivable and Credit Specialist onsite. The role focuses on credit and collections, dealer approvals, and daily invoicing to keep customer accounts current.

Responsibilities include reviewing credit applications, processing invoices, cash application, and maintaining bonds and insurance files. Strong Excel skills and a diploma in accounting are required, with 2+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum accounting experience of 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze customer credit applications, financial statements, fund verifications and credit reports.
• Establish and update credit limits and terms based on risk assessments.
• Collect past due accounts and coordinate with outside agencies and attorneys.
• Daily invoicing and cash application.
• Prepare cash on delivery notifications.
• Manage and process liens and bonds.
• Maintain licenses, permits bonds, insurance files and borrowing base certificates.
• Process monthly customer statements and reconcile AR and deposits.
• Manage and process sales tax.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Accounts Receivable & Credit Specialist role is responsible for credit and collections on behalf of the company. The position is responsible for reviewing and approval of new dealers and Lester Buildings contracts; and working directly with our customers to keep their accounts current. Responsibilities also include daily invoice processing, cash application along with completing other miscellaneous documents as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Set up and appointment of new dealers
• Review and approval of Lester Buildings contracts
• Review and analyze customer credit applications, financial statements, fund verifications and credit reports
• Establish and update credit limits and terms based on risk assessments
• Collecting of past due accounts, including working with outside agencies and attorneys on collections
• Daily invoicing
• Cash application
• Prepare cash on delivery notifications
• Manage and process liens
• Maintain license and permit bonds
• Performance bonds
• Maintain certificates of insurance files
• Prepare monthly borrowing base certificate
• Process monthly customer statementsMonthly reconciliations of accounts receivable and deposits
• Manage & process sales tax

Qualifications

• Accounting diploma or associate degree in accounting is required
• Minimum accounting experience of at least 2 years is necessary
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills are required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• ERP system knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with manufacturing and construction process is a plus

Salary Range

$25.00 to $30.00 an hour

The specific compensation offered to a candidate varies by several factors including relevant work experience, education, certifications and internal pay equity. This position is eligible for Company profit sharing potential.
