Job summary

STA Family of Companies is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist (Temp) in Wall Township, NJ, to join the finance team on a 6-12 month contract. The role Monday–Friday, offers an hourly pay rate of $25.00–$27.00 with responsibilities including invoice exception resolution, two-way match, and AP inquiries.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of AP experience, strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables), and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset to ensure accurate payments and vendor data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communications skills.
• Advanced Excel experience (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Resolve invoice exceptions within Payables Portal.
• Perform two-way match for parts invoices.
• Respond to AP inquiries.
• Verify and log vendor banking changes.
• Research stale payments (Checks and virtual credit cards).
• Invoice allocation uploads.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Location: Wall Township, NJ

Job Type: Full-Time, Temp (6-12 month contract)

Job Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Resolve invoice exceptions within Payables Portal
• Perform two-way match for parts invoices
• Respond to AP inquiries
• Verify and log vendor banking changes
• Research stale payments (Checks and virtual credit cards)
• Invoice allocation uploads
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Experience in a high-volume, fast paced environment
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communications skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player while also taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Advanced Excel experience (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables, etc.)
