Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company's financial obligations by processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely payments. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices for payment
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
• Ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers
• Assist in month-end closing activities
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with financial policies
• Support the implementation of new accounting systems and processes
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (preferably Epicor)
• Strong understanding of invoicing and revenue accounting processes
