Job summary

Citizens Health seeks a Comptroller to join our Financial Services team in Colby, Kansas. This full-time role supports accounts payable processes, ensures timely and accurate bill payments, and helps meet profitability goals for a community-based, not-for-profit organization.

You will review invoices, code to GL accounts, and coordinate with vendors and internal staff to keep payment cycles on track. Strong accounting fundamentals and experience in AP are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting preferred.
• Accounts payable experience preferred.
• Proficient user of Excel and ten-key calculator.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for authorized approval, accuracy, and general ledger code assignment.
• Match invoices to purchase orders or packing slips to verify invoiced merchandise has been received.
• Distribute invoices needing approval to appropriate personnel.
• Encode invoice with vendor and GL account numbers.
• Enter data in the system and analyze reports to ensure payment within terms.
• File paid invoices and maintain records for AP functions.
• Complete other duties as assigned per organizational need.
