Staffmark Group is seeking an entry-level accounting professional in Abilene, TX to process daily financial transactions and maintain AP/AR records. The role supports month-end activities, bank reconciliations, and prepares financial statements as needed.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, a basic understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency with Excel. Prior office or accounting experience is a plus, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Dependable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, pitch in, and support a collaborative team environment.
• Previous experience in an office or accounting role is a plus.
