Job summary

Kinder's is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the accounting team through end-to-end AP activities, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, onsite role requiring accuracy, analytical thinking, and adaptability.

You will manage invoice processing, PO matching, payments, reconciliations, and month-end close with SAP experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience in high-volume environments.
• Experience with invoice processing, PO matching, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
• Ability to handle month-end close activities and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with pivot tables and LOOKUP functions.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full AP lifecycle from invoice receipt to payment.
• Review, code, and process invoices according to policies.
• Match invoices to POs, receipts, and supporting docs with proper GL coding.
• Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
• Serve as primary contact for vendors on invoice status and inquiries.
• Assist with month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and 1099 compliance.

Job description

Our client, Kinder's is looking to fill an Accounts Payable Specialist position. The role supports the Accounting team through the execution of accounts payable activities, vendor account management, and cross-functional support within the AP function. You should be analytical and precise, but able to operate in ambiguity and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.This is a full-time, onsite schedule with the potential to be temp-to-hire.

What You'll Do:

• Manage the full accounts payable lifecycle from invoice receipt through payment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
• Review, verify, code, and process invoices.
• according to company policies and accounting standards.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, receipts and supporting documentation, ensuring proper GL coding.
• Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, discrepancies, shortages and account-related concerns.
• Build and maintain positive vendor relationships by ensuring accounts remain current and resolving payment issues promptly.
• Research, investigate, and resolve invoice, receiving, pricing and payment discrepancies while coordinating with internal business partners.
• Reconcile vendor statements and account balances, ensuring outstanding issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, accruals, reconciliations, audits, sales tax reporting, and 1099 compliance.

Your Background:

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience required.
• Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
• Experience with invoice processing, purchase order matching, vendor payments, reconciliations
• and month-end close activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and LOOKUPs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP a plus.
