Job summary

PAC in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an AP Specialist to enter and upload invoices, ensure proper coding, maintain vendor profiles, and reconcile statements. You will respond to vendor inquiries, support month-end close, and assist with 1099 preparation under supervision in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and solid accounts payable knowledge with data-entry skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with accounts payable procedures and policies preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret AP procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and/or upload invoices into the accounting system.
  • Review invoices for correct coding and documentation.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries from vendors.
  • Assist with month-end close and 1099 preparation.

General PurposeThe Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for a variety of accounts payable and customer service responsibilities and duties depending on their specific AP team. The AP Specialist must be detail oriented, accurate, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to an AP Supervisor.Essential DutiesEnter and/or upload invoices into the accounting softwareReview invoices and ensure proper coding and documentationMaintain accurate vendor profiles in the accounting softwareReconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepanciesWork closely with vendors and respond to inquiriesEnsure complete and accurate files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesPreserve confidentiality pertaining to HIPPA and insider informationProduce AP reports as requestedPrepare and provide energy benchmarking data/reports as requestedProvide supporting documentation for auditsAssist with month end closingSupport 1099 preparation and correctionProvide support to facilities and other PACS departmentsIdentify and implement process improvements and efficiencies under the direction of supervisorAssist with and attend meetingsAssist with utility account conversionsAnswer phonesProcess mailManage tickets, emails, and internal communicationsWork with third-party providersPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory RequirementsThis position doesn't have any supervisory responsibilities.QualificationEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentAccounts payable knowledgeGeneral accounting procedures knowledgerelevant accounting softwareexperienceData entry experienceSkills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret accounts payableprocedures and policies.
