Habitat for Humanity Portland Region is seeking a detail-oriented accounts payable professional to join our Finance team in a part-time, hybrid role. You will manage full-cycle AP, code invoices in QuickBooks, and coordinate with vendors while upholding strong internal controls.
You will process reconciliations, handle reimbursements, support month-end close, and drive process improvements. The position offers a collaborative office environment with hybrid work options and occasional site travel.

You are a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong accounts payable experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You take ownership of your work from initiation through completion, proactively identifying and resolving issues while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and strong internal controls. You communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders, partner closely with the Finance team, and look for opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency. Other than processing accounts payable transactions, you also prepare reconciliations and journal entries, resolve discrepancies, and support month-end and year-end close activities. You thrive in an independent, hybrid work environment and help establish, document and refine procedures that support sustainable and scalable operations.

Instead, we determine the best possible compensation offer based on base qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, and the candidate’s competencies for the role demonstrated during the hiring process. Successful candidates are typically hired within the first half of the Pay Range and receive scheduled incremental increases. When starting in this position, your compensation will generally be between $21.37 to $26.17 per hour, not exceed the range midpoint. The full range for this position is $21.37 to $30.98 per hour.
