Job summary

National Fleet Management is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Greensboro, NC headquarters in a full-time, on-site role. You will manage vendor invoices, payments, and month-end close while ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years in AP and strong Excel skills, with a drive to improve processes. This position offers stability in a growing organization with cross-training opportunities across accounting functions and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software; Karmak experience is a plus.
• Experience with AP automation or workflow systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable from invoice receipt through payment.
• Review, code, enter, and match vendor invoices with supporting documentation.
• Process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers accurately and timely.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and payment information.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and help ensure timely vendor payments.
• Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, audits, and other accounting activities.
• Partner with Operations and other departments to resolve issues and improve AP processes.
• Cross-train in other accounting functions and support the Accounting team as business needs require.

What You'll Do
