Covenant Logistics in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist Maintenance to process TMT invoices, review vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies while keeping accurate AP records. You will assist with month-end close and provide audit support, collaborate with internal departments and vendors, and participate in cross-training to cover daily AP duties.

• Transportation industry experience preferred.

Job description

The Accounts Payable Specialist Maintenance works closely with vendors/departments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. This position will also be responsible for working open items including payment discrepancies or other inquiries. This position will also be responsible for reviewing, processing and payment of all TMT invoices.

Responsibilities

• Review and process TMT invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Complete and send special remittances.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all TMT Accounts Payable transactions.
• Assist with month-end close processes and provide support for audits.
• Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any payment issues or discrepancies.
• Cross train with other employees to assist with daily functions in the Accounts Payable department.
• Assist with other accounting duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Candidates with more extensive or highly relevant experience may be considered toward the higher end of the overall pay band.

• Expected Pay Range: $16.41-$18.05
• Full Pay Range: $16.41-$24.24
• Pay Grade: 4
