Cedar Investment Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the payables lifecycle, treasury workflows, and banking operations across multiple entities. You will drive process discipline, vendor onboarding, and financial controls in a fast-growing environment.

The role requires hands-on ownership of vendor payments, cash forecasting support, and collaboration with Finance, Development, Operations, Legal, and HR to scale Cedar's footprint.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of treasury, accounting, or corporate finance experience; multi-entity or real estate/development background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payables administration, treasury operations, cash management, and banking structures.
• Experience with ERP or treasury systems (Yardi, SAP Concur preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payables lifecycle, including invoice entry and payment execution.
• Administer corporate card and T&E program, including reimbursements and compliance.
• Oversee vendor onboarding, coding, and documentation; 1099 reporting.
• Lead treasury workflows and cash management across multiple entities.

**Job Description Summary**Cedar is seeing an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist who will manage the accounts payable lifecycle, and participate in cash management, banking operations, payables administration, and treasury governance across a multi-entity environment. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, liquidity visibility, and operational excellence as Cedar scales its development and operating footprint. The ideal candidate brings strong accounts payable and treasury operations experience, exceptional process discipline, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Development, Operations, Legal, and HR. This position requires hands-on ownership of vendor payment processes, treasury workflows, and financial controls.**Job Description****Expense Management & Treasury Administration**• Manage the end-to-end payables process, including invoice entry, approval workflows, and timely payment execution. • Administer the corporate credit-card and travel & expense (T&E) program, including reimbursement processing and compliance monitoring. • Oversee vendor onboarding and purchasing processes; ensure accurate vendor coding, documentation, and controls. • Ensure proper cost allocations between entities, affiliates, and projects. • Manage vendor records, including maintenance of key vendor documents and forms such as W-9s and insurance. • Lead the 1099 reporting process, including vendor record maintenance, IRS-compliant filings, and vendor inquiry support. • Drive process automation initiatives to improve efficiency and strengthen financial controls. **Financial Operations & Treasury Management**• Manage daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, intercompany funding, and short-term investments. • Assist management to monitor cash flow forecasting and liquidity management across all corporate entities; monitor working capital and optimize cash utilization; complete monthly reconciliations. • Oversee account administration, including opening and closing accounts. • Assist Development to coordinate capital calls and distributions for investors or joint-venture partners as needed. **Systems, Processes & Administration**• Serve as business lead for treasury platforms, banking systems, and cash cycle administration. • Continuously refine accounting and treasury workflows to support scalability. • Maintain policies and procedures for treasury, finance, and administrative operations. • Partner with HR and IT on finance-related integrations, including payroll, benefits, and software subscriptions. **Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration**• Prepare monthly treasury and management reporting packages, including KPIs, balance sheet summaries, and cash forecasts.• Partner with Development, Legal, and Operations to align treasury practices with broader business objectives. • Serve as a primary point of contact for corporate banking partners and key vendors. **Required Experience**• 5+ years of treasury, accounting, or corporate finance experience; multi-entity or real estate/development experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of payables administration, treasury operations, cash management, and banking structures. • Experience with ERP or treasury systems (Yardi, SAP Concur preferred). • Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel. • Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership abilities. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment. • Occasional travel to project sites or banking partners as needed. **Education**• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required. • Treasury or finance certifications highly valued. **Benefits**• Medical Insurance• Dental Insurance• Vision Insurance• 401(k)• Life Insurance• Short-Term and Long-Term Disability• Paid Time Off• Paid Holidays **Schedule**This is a full-time position based in our Arlington, VA office.
