Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our busy AP team. The role involves coding invoices, data entry, payment processing, and reconciling general ledger accounts, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

You will interact with internal teams and vendors, contributing to audits and monthly closes. This position requires at least two years in accounts payable, an associate degree preferred, and strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of two years working in the accounts payable field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of accounts payable and coding invoices.
• Verify invoices for tax compliance and approvals.
• Process invoices into the AP system and import data.
• Obtain W9s and vendor TINs and ACH information.
• Assist audits and respond to inquiries from customers and vendors.
• Review expense reports for receipts and proper coding.
• Process corporate card transactions and reconcile related reports.
• Mail checks and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Support month-end accruals, prepaids, and spreadsheets.
