Job summary

The Odom Corporation is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP team, oversee weekly check runs, and ensure accurate coding and timely vendor payments across multiple entities. This role reports to the Assistant Controller and requires strong leadership and process improvement skills.

Location options include Bellevue, Sumner, Vancouver, WA, or Boise, ID. The position offers competitive compensation and benefits, with eligibility for an EBITDA bonus and 401k matching.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience managing accounts payable in a medium to large company.
• Experience with Great Plains, MediusFlow and Encompass preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and 10-key.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Accounts Payable team to deliver high-quality service to suppliers, vendors and employees.
• Oversees weekly check runs and EFT payment reconciliation for multiple companies.
• Ensures coding accuracy in the general ledger chart of accounts.
• Ensures timely payment according to vendor terms.
• Participates in month-end closing and reviews preliminary P&L.
• Prepares A/P year-end audit schedules.
• Prepares 1099 forms and unclaimed property filings.
• Recommends procedures to ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Provides accounting assistance and answers financial questions.
• Acts as liaison with external parties to maintain historical information.
• Selects and hires AP staff, trains and evaluates them and handles performance issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Assistant Controller or Controller.
