Job summary

The Musco Sports Lighting, LLC Accounts Payable Lead in Oskaloosa, IA will oversee AP operations, review invoice entries, assist month-end close, and maintain vendor relationships. You’ll resolve complex AP issues, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

You should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 2+ years of AP or accounting experience, with strong Excel and GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, AP, AR, General Ledger.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Excel skills and aptitude for using automated accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Be a resource for AP team members to help investigate and resolve complex problems related to accounts payable, including vendor statements and AP Clearing items.
• Review and approve vendor invoice journals and payment batches for multiple companies.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal managers regarding payments and process exceptions.
• Set up new vendors in the accounting system and collect required W-9s.
• Verify and set up ACH banking information for domestic and international vendors.
• Reconcile accounts and create month-end journal entries for prepaid expenses and insurance.
• Evaluate processes and procedures and implement improvements.
