Job summary

The Proactive Engineering LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage daily financial records, reconcile bank accounts, and prepare journal entries. You will assist with month-end closing and GAAP compliance while analyzing variances and maintaining the general ledger.

You will also support audit preparation, process invoices, and mentor AP/AR activities. A BA in accounting/finance and strong Excel skills are required in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience and knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Proficient in ERP and Accounting Systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and verify data accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and accruals.
• Provide schedules and commentary for variances.
• Assist auditors and file tax forms as needed.
