TEKsystems is seeking a contract Accounts Payable specialist for 4–6 months, onsite in Rock Island, IL. The role focuses on imaging systems, invoice scanning, and workflow submission to ensure timely payments with discounts where possible.

Responsibilities include routing invoices, processing electronic payments, reconciling statements, assisting with 1099s, and supporting audits. This role emphasizes internal controls and opportunities for automation improvements.

Responsibilities

• Verify invoices are scanned and submitted into accounts payable workflow.
• Electronically route invoices for approval per policies.
• Process electronic invoices in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with payment processing including check printing and electronic payments.
• Communicate with vendors, Accounting, Purchasing, and other stakeholders.
• Research vendor invoice and payment issues.
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements.
• Review vendor credit balances and refunds for timely resolution.
• Assist with governmental reporting (e.g., 1099s).
• Assist audits of Accounts Payable information with internal and external parties.
• Engage in process and system automation improvements.
• Adhere to internal controls to prevent errors and protect assets.
