Job summary

Astound is seeking an AP Coordinator II in New Jersey to foster relationships with internal and external customers, manage AP service standards, and support the AP Lead and Director. A solid grasp of GAAP and experience with Microsoft Great Plains and Excel are valued.

Responsibilities include handling PO and non-PO invoices, 3-way PO matching, GL coding, vendor remittances, payment batches, and responding to inquiries.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of high-volume accounts payable experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; strong MS Office skills.
• Solid understanding of GAAP; strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming purchase order and non-purchase order invoices
• Provide GL coding for invoices and route to Astounds approvers via workflow
• Process purchase order invoices ensuring a 3-way match
• Resolve purchase order/invoice pricing and quantity discrepancies with the Purchasing Manager/Markets
• Ensure vendor remittances are current
• Process leasing, refunds, and programming uploads
• Process manual invoice requests within established service levels
• Process payment batches and check registers
• Resolve any customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

The AP Coordinator II plays a crucial role in fostering relationships with both internal and external customers of Astound, as well as managing accounts payable service standards. Additionally, this role includes supporting the AP Lead and Director in accordance with established guidelines, as well as conducting research on various projects as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication abilities, and have practical experience with Microsoft Great Plains and Excel.

• Manage incoming purchase order and non-purchase order invoices
• Provide GL coding for invoices and route to Astounds approvers via workflow
• Process purchase order invoices ensuring a 3-way match
• Resolve purchase order/invoice pricing and quantity discrepancies with the Purchasing Manager/Markets

What You Bring to the Table:

• 3 - 6 years' experience in high volume accounts payable

• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with Great Plains Financial Software and/ ReqLogic is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent customer service
• Strong organizational skills

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent and Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or relevant experience

Base Compensation:

The base compensation range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr, plus opportunities for benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills.
