Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent).
• Two years of secretarial experience, preferably with accounting or bookkeeping background.
• Certification from a business school or college could substitute for the experience.
• Familiar with current office procedures and fundamentals of office organization.
• Able to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal, with correct grammar.
• Ability to use computers and the typical software used by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable, data entry with accuracy, maintain vendor files, and fiscal records balancing.
• Update and submit monthly billing in accordance with contract requirements.
• Prepare financial transactions including receiving/disbursing funds and posting ledgers.
• Collect and mail client signature sheets and probation reports and verify accuracy.
• Submit reports to the State and corporate office within deadlines for timely reimbursement.
• Comply with policies, attend to directives, and maintain a cooperative team environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff meetings to address facility issues.
