Job summary

Spot Freight, Inc. in Indiana is looking for an Accounts Payable Associate to ensure carrier invoices are paid accurately and on time while supporting billing processes. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree in business or accounting/finance is preferred.
• 2+ years of accounts payable or billing experience; logistics or 3PL experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Audit and process carrier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Review, classify, and validate documents using document processing tools.
• Take ownership of assigned accounts and help keep payments on track.
• Serve as a point of contact for carriers and assist with payment questions.
• Provide friendly, professional, solutions-focused customer service.
• Collaborate with teammates and other departments to resolve issues and keep freight payments moving.
• Handle a higher volume of phone communication on designated days (20–30 calls, 2–3 days per week).
• Develop a strong understanding of Spot’s Accounts Payable processes and the transportation industry.

About The Role:

As an Accounts Payable Associate at Spot, you’ll play an important role in keeping our business moving. You’ll help ensure our carrier partners are paid accurately and on time while supporting the processes that allow us to bill our customers efficiently.

This isn't just a data entry position. You’ll take ownership of assigned accounts, work with modern document-processing technology, solve payment questions, and communicate directly with our carrier partners. What You’ll Do

• Audit and process carrier invoices accurately and efficiently.
