Mullinax Automotive seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team in Florida. Since opening in 1970, Mullinax Automotive has grown to be among the nation’s top-volume vehicle retailers with 12 dealerships across Ford, Hyundai, Genesis, Buick GMC and Cadillac in FL, AL and WA.

This role offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated team and build experience in the Automotive Industry. It is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Basic administrative tasks and ability to work in a team.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Automotive industry experience is a plus.
• Must pass background screening and drug test.
• Bookkeeping/Accounting experience, 3+ years in an office environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by gathering and sorting documents.
• Pay invoices by verifying data, scheduling, disbursements, and authorizations.
• Verify revenue by computing charges, refunds, and invoicing.
• Prepare financial reports summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain ledgers by posting transactions.
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements.
• Resolve discrepancies by investigating and adjusting.
• Maintain security by following internal controls.
• Back up databases and protect financial information.
• Maintain historical records by filing documents.
• Support team with related tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
• Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Secures financial information by completing database backups.
• Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
