Job summary

The College of American Pathologists (CAP) is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate in Winnetka, Illinois. This role is responsible for processing reimbursements and maintaining accuracy in financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and some experience in accounts payable.

Candidates must be within 75 miles of the Northfield, IL office and meet in-office requirements. Salary ranges from $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, alongside a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in an office environment, preferably with a background in accounts payable.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing of member reimbursements, LAP reimbursements, staff reimbursements, and customer refunds.
• Assign account codes and check for accuracy and proper approval of reimbursements to be paid.
• Enter and process reimbursements/invoices resulting in the generation of checks and ACH Payments.

Brief Description

The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for:

• Daily processing of member reimbursements, LAP reimbursements, staff reimbursements, and customer refunds.
• Operating within established routines and standing instructions.
• Proficient in leadership competencies related to leading self.

Specific Duties

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assign account codes and check for accuracy and proper approval of reimbursements to be paid.
• Enter and process reimbursements/invoices resulting in the generation of checks and ACH Payments. This includes bank information for payees.
• Mail checks within defined CAP policies.
• Set up and maintenance of filing system on annual basis.
• Weekly filing.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Accounts Payable.
• Back-up personnel in absence of the Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Backup processing of PT invoices, as needed.
