SUMMARYAn Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for our organization. The Accounts Payable Associate will be assisting with accounts payable, processing checks, special projects, research projects, taking and picking up the mail. The position will also be a direct contact for vendors, employees, and some clients.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Assist in managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.2. Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.3. Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.4. Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.5. Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, andreconciling vendors’ statements.6. Entering expense reports and property bills.7. Processing checks, documenting postage, and mailing checks.8. Reconciling chargebacks and other items.9. Speaking with vendors over the phone and email to assist with questions.10. Assist with data entry in Excel.11. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain effective internal controls.12. Work as a team player in evaluating and resolving discrepancies, as needed.13. Research projects, and assist on all special projects, as needed.REQUIREMENTS1. Competent in using Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS1. Ability to climb stairs, walk, bend, grasp, and lift up to 25 lbs.2.
