Ohio University is seeking an Accounts and Operations Manager in Athens, Ohio to support the Research Division with accounting, budgeting and financial analysis. You will work with the Director of Budget & Operations and other unit leaders to ensure accurate financial records and compliant processes in line with GAAP.
The role includes reviewing and reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and guiding student employees.
Job Description Summary
The Accounts and Operations Manager reports to the Director of Budget & Operations and performs accounting, financial and operational activities in support of the Research Division. This position will work with the Director of Budget & Operations, other unit directors, and two Associate Vice Presidents’ of Research to provide strategic financial planning, ensuring the efficient allocation of unit resources.
Responsibilities include assisting with budget preparation and development, developing and communicating financial analysis and reports, reconciling and monitoring financial accounts, and reviewing financial transactions for accuracy and compliance in accordance with university policies and procedures, unit guidelines, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role is responsible for independently reviewing and reconciling assigned accounts, identifying discrepancies, researching issues, and recommending corrective actions to maintain accurate and compliant financial records. The decisions made by this position impact the financial integrity and account compliance of the Research Division. This position may provide guidance and day-to-day supervision to student employees.

This position is a Pay Grade 16 and starting salary will depend on candidate’s experience and qualifications. The hiring range for the position will be between $44,592 and $59,085 annually.
