Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking an External Auditor/Deals professional in Atlanta to expand their Accounting & Transaction Advisory practice. You will leverage a strong public accounting background to work on high-value transactions, with opportunities to interact with C-suite executives and enhance your expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and SEC/ASC standards.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in Audit/Assurance/Deals, a CPA or progress toward CPA, and a proven record with large public filers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience within Audit, Assurance, Advisory or Deals/FDD in a Public Accounting firm (Big 4/Top 10 preferred).
• CPA certification preferred or in progress.
• Experience with large public filers (Audit/Assurance) and high-value transactions (Deals/FDD).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, FASB and SEC/ASC rules and standards.
• Ability to communicate with C-suite level executives.
• Professionalism and ability to work as an IC or in a team.

Our client is a large, established Advisory firm that have placed significant capital behind their Accounting & Transaction Advisory sector expansion this year.

If you’ve got a Public Accounting background, but want to expand that knowledge & experience with a firm devoted to developing & progressing their people, this ones for you.

Skills, Knowledge And Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters degree preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred – will accept those who are in process
• 4+ years of experience within Audit, Assurance, Advisory or Deals/FDD, within a Public Accounting firm (Big 4/Top 10 preferred )
• Experience with large, Public filers (Audit/Assurance) & High Value Transactions (Deals/FDD)
• High degree of professionalism required- including the ability to communicate with C-Suite level individuals.
• Self starter, who can thrive as an Individual Contributor, or in a team-based environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, FASB & SEC/ASC rules and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing technological environments (AI, RPA etc.)
