Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Accounting Technician for Outsourced Finance & Accounting to support the setup and integration of new clients into AP processes and systems. The role assists with AP onboarding, guiding clients through required steps and documentation.

Responsibilities include reviewing invoices, posting transactions, reconciling AP, and aiding month-end close. Strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel/Word are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; one to three years of accounts payable experience preferred.
• Experience handling a high volume of invoices and full cycle AP processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word with strong data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and verifies invoices and check requests.
• Sets up invoices for payment.
• Posts transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
• Reconciles accounts payable transactions.
• Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Maintains W9s.
• Assists with month-end closing activities.
• Tracks onboarding status and communicates timelines and next steps clearly.
• Corresponds with clients, communicates timelines, and responds to inquiries.

Job Duties

• Reviews and verifies invoices and check requests
• Sets up invoices for payment
• Posts transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
