Job summary

The City of Turlock is accepting applications for the Accounting Technician position. Under general supervision, provides technical, financial, statistical and other analytical support; performs research and special project management; supervises sensitive, confidential record maintenance; ensures legal compliance and budgetary expenditures; may supervise staff and assist in public activities or meetings.

The incumbent may coordinate with other service areas, agencies, boards and commissions;

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible technical clerical, accounting, or business experience with emphasis on communication and public contact at advance journey level.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process business license and permit applications, including fees computation and issuance.
• Assist in payroll, utility billing and general record keeping.
