Captain James A Lovell Federal Health Care Center is seeking an Accounting Technician to verify cash, card payments, and meal calculations, and to compile and post financial documents and reconcile invoices. The role spans 1 day to 3 months projects and requires adherence to policies and programs.

Responsibilities include invoice processing using Microsoft Dynamics 365, vendor reconciliation, and managing own workload.

Competenze

• Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
• Proficient in spreadsheet and financial/database programs; preferably Excel Word and Dynamics 365.

About the position The Accounting Technician is responsible for the verification of cash, credit/ debit card payments and meal calculations, compiling and posting financial documents and reconciling invoice statements. This role typically works on projects and tasks that span 1 day – 3 months and requires the ability to understand and abide by policies, procedures, and programs. Responsibilities

• Accurate compilation of data to produce financial statements in accordance with Goodwill and Navy contract.
• Verifying and compiling Uniform Replacement information, Employee Meal Deduction and submitting weekly spreadsheets and documents for payroll deductions.
• Accurate invoice processing including coding and posting all invoices using Microsoft D365 Accounting system.
• Reconciling vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been received, posted and properly applied by the vendor.
• Effectively plans and manages own work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special assignments.
• Follows through on learning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change.
• Uses technical skills and knowledge to manage day-to-day tasks.
• Serves as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community.
• Participates in volunteer opportunities as schedule and interest permit.
• Completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned. Requirements
• Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
• Proficient in the use of spreadsheet and financial/database programs. (Preferably Microsoft Excel, Word and Dynamics 365).
• Must be a US Citizen, as defined by US Navy security guidelines.
• Required to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) within 90 days of date of hire, pursuant to US Navy security guidelines. Inability to obtain CAC card may result in removal and/or termination from position. Nice‑to‑haves
