Job description

Are you an experienced financial professional looking to make a meaningful impact on vital national security operations? The Accounting Operations Division at the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific (NAVFAC PAC) is currently seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our dedicated team.

In this pivotal role, you will be a key contributor to our financial operations, applying your analytical expertise to support complex, multi-year programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a dynamic blend of operating and systems accounting to analyze and support high-stakes, multi-billion-dollar programs.
  • Interpret and assess the strategic financial impact of new Congressional Legislation and fund utilization.
  • Assist in financial benefits calculations, methodology, and business case analysis coordination.
  • Evaluate and strengthen internal controls to ensure all financial transactions are strictly validated and properly documented.
Who Can Apply

We are currently accepting applications from:

  • Current permanent employees of the Department of the Navy (DoN) within the Oahu, HI commuting area.
  • Department of War (DoW) Military Spouse Preference (MSP) eligibles.
  • DoW Military Reserve (MR) and National Guard (NG) Technician Preference eligibles.
  • DoW Retained Grade Preference eligibles and VEOA eligibles.

A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary

Position Requirements
Requirements for all NAVFAC Positions
  • A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
  • Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov
  • Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will need to pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
