The ideal candidate holds a CPA or EA, has 5+ years in public accounting, and is proficient with tax software. You will oversee returns (1040, 1120, 1065), mentor junior staff, and help drive strategic tax opportunities while upholding regulatory

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065)
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Manage client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for tax planning and accounting inquiries
• Perform financial statement preparation, review, and analysis
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic tax planning advice to clients
• Assist with bookkeeping, payroll, and general ledger oversight as needed

Requirements

• CPA license or EA designation
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting and tax management
• Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSeries, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and compliance
• Experience managing and reviewing the work of junior staff
