Job summary

State of Florida seeks an Accounting Services Analyst A to support accounting and financial systems across the department. The role focuses on data validation, program maintenance for FLAIR transactions, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

The analyst will work with the Financial Manager I – SES, manage security profiles, and develop automated data extraction and reporting solutions. Office located at 4052 Bald Cypress Way with comprehensive state benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data processing principles, practices and techniques applicable to large scale computer systems.
• Workable knowledge of SAMAS (FLAIR) and ability to program in Natural, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and SQL Server.
• Ability to design, develop, test and implement systems of accounting or budgetary nature.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of departmental systems related to accounting and finances.
• Process validation of data from multiple in-house users and resolve data issues.
• Set up security profiles (FLAIR DACA access, FLAIR RACF, FLAIR RDS) and perform related maintenance.
• Generate and review data files, ensure submission to FTP, and support FLAIR transaction processing.
• Develop and write standard/ad hoc programs for data extraction and reporting from various sources.
• Document technical/operational requirements and desktop procedures for AFAM’s FLAIR processing.
