Job summary

Iowa DOT in Ames, IA 50010 is hiring an Accounting Support Technician 2 who will provide technical support for financial and accounting matters, audit, reconcile, deposit and report on financial transactions, review and adjust funding discrepancies, and assist customers with accounting questions. Shift: Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time work experience in processing financial or related data within established systems and procedures, including verifying, entering, or maintaining transaction records.
• A total of three years of education and/or full-time experience (as described above), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in accounting or business equals one year of full-time experience.
• Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes eighteen months of full-time work as an Accounting Support Technician 1.

Responsibilities

In this Accounting Support Technician 2 role, you will:

• Provide technical support for financial and accounting matters
