Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee and refine recording of assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses, and to help produce accurate financial reports.

This role leads AP/AR staff, reviews ledgers and financial statements, prepares monthly and year-end journal entries, supports auditors, and recommends improvements to procedures while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum six years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide ongoing feedback and annual performance reviews.
• Review general ledger balance sheet schedules for accuracy.
• Review balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements for trends, variances, and errors.
• Create monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries for accruals and reclassifications.
• Prepare special financial reports for leadership by analyzing operational and financial data.
• Gather reports and documentation for external auditors.
• Recommend improvements to accounting and financial reporting procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
