Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting required.
• 3-5 years of public accounting and/or financial accounting/reporting experience required.
• GAAP knowledge required.
• CPA license preferred.
• Experience within or general understanding of the midstream oil and gas industry is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversight and analysis of quarterly FERC financial statements for Plains entities and JVs.
• Resolution of accounting issues with other accounting departments.
• Review and understanding of FERC accounting regulations to ensure compliance.
• Oversight of the severance tax process, including monitoring and interpretation of state tax legislation, resolution of disputed items, and communication with other departments related to state/customer disputes.
• Communication with IT department to ensure that severance tax system is set up to handle new legislation.
• Supervision of team members and coordination with managers in the department related to shared resources.
• Involvement in the Liquid Energy Pipeline Association Accounting Committee.
• Review of periodic reports to government entities.
