Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking an Operations Financial Supervisor to lead the system transaction support center and drive accuracy across monthly, quarterly and year-end financials.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 5–7 years of accounting experience, and strong leadership skills. A CPA is preferred and a valid driver's license is required. Expect comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Management experience required.
• Valid driver license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members, including interviewing and training staff, planning and directing work, and giving feedback.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports.
• Oversee monthly closing, consolidation, and account reconciliations for accuracy.
• Participate in special projects and identify best practices.
• Coordinate banking activity reporting and inter-company reconciliations.
• Support year-end audit data gathering and reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise members of the team. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; and providing feedback.
• Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements and reports.
• Lead the monthly closing and consolidation process, account reconciliations, and related analysis and reporting. Oversee, prepare, and review general ledger entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Actively participate on special projects: identify and recommend best practices.
• Coordinate the daily and weekly reporting and recording of banking activity.
• Coordinate the reconciliation and reporting of inter-company activity with related companies.
• Coordinate the gathering of and submission of data related to the yearend audit.
• Perform ad hoc projects and analyses.
• Provide resources and information to meet operational needs. Maintain open communication with divisional and departmental leads to ensure coordination of accounting needs..Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, 5-7 years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination
• Financial systems experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Certified Public Accountant (preferred)
• Management experience
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team
