Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks an Accounting Intern for our Lake Forest headquarters. You will support month-end close, prepare journal entries, and reconcile balance sheet accounts as part of a dynamic finance team.

You will gain hands-on experience with Oracle ERP and Oracle ARC, analyze data, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and present results to management, while developing professional skills in a Fortune 500 environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Accounting or Finance; completed sophomore year.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher required.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Learn to navigate business-related software programs (Oracle ERP, Oracle ARC).
• Analyze data and processes.
• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Communicate project results to management via oral presentations and written reports.
