Job summary

Pacific Life in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a seasonal Accounting Intern to support financial operations and gain hands-on exposure to accounting processes in a regulated environment.

You will work with experienced professionals on cash inflows, bond investments, and reporting, while receiving mentorship from executives and engaging in development programs across General Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Corporate Finance.

Qualifications

• Background: Entry-Level. This internship is designed for students currently being recruited for an Accounting Summer 2027 opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Work with accounting professionals to learn cash inflows from policyholders, including recording and reconciling deposits.
• Learn to monitor and report on public and private bond investments throughout their lifecycle.
• Contribute to projects that support team and company financial goals in a regulated environment.
• Receive mentorship from an Executive and a peer mentor for internship guidance.
• Attend presentations across General Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Corporate Finance.
• Participate in networking, executive speaker series, community service, and social events to understand accounting's role in strategy.
