Job summary

Pacific Life Insurance Company in Newport Beach, CA offers a Summer Internship for Actuarial students. You will work on diverse actuarial projects, including dashboards, rider analysis, cash flow analyses, and tools for efficiency, while being mentored by executives and peers.

Qualified students are pursuing math/stats/economics/finance/actuarial science majors and have at least one SOA exam completed. Relocation stipends may apply for candidates outside a 50 mile radius.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 1 SOA exam is required.
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or actuarial science.
• Ability to problem solve and demonstrate leadership.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Desire to gain more experience in the actuarial field.

Responsibilities

• Participate in actuarial projects during the internship.
• Create dashboards to visualize data and perform analyses.
• Contribute to modeling, pricing, valuation, and cash flow analyses.
• Engage in mentorship sessions and rotational events.
