Job summary

Dairyland Power Cooperative in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Financial Specialist I or II to support accounting operations with minimal supervision. You will process invoices, resolve issues with buyers, departments, and vendors, and maintain accurate sub-ledgers and schedules.

The role includes preparing journal entries, financial reports, year-end 1099 forms, and assisting with internal and external audits within a collaborative,People First culture.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with minimum two (2) years utility or corporate accounting experience.
• Experience with financial accounting systems and work flows.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and pay invoices accurately and on time.
• Work with buyers, departments, and vendors to resolve material, pricing, freight, and sales tax issues.
• Generate weekly and monthly invoices in ERP System.
• Review and assist with employee expenses submitted through the ERP system.
• Prepare assigned financial reports and journal entries.
• Assist with year-end 1099 forms and audits as requested.
