Job summary

Virginia Economic Development Partnership in Tysons Corner, VA seeks an Accounting Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting, support month-end close, and prepare financial reports. You will assist with ERP implementation, insurance administration, and operational accounting for a growing organization with a Korea-based headquarters.

Required: bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and at least 5 years of accounting experience; SAP FI/CO experience preferred; bilingual Korean/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of accounting experience required.
• Manufacturing experience in a global environment preferred.
• Bilingual Korean/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Prepare accounting records and financial reports with accuracy, completeness, and conformity to accounting standards.
• Support the implementation and setup of ERP systems for a newly established company.
• Assist with strategic planning, budget preparation, and financial consolidation activities with headquarters in Korea.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain proper recording of control accounts.
• Manage daily banking transactions and requirements.
• Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
• Administer Builder’s Risk and OCIP insurance policies, including enrollments, modifications, and cancellations.
• Coordinate and follow up on insurance claims with adjusters, brokers, and other stakeholders.
• Work with brokers and business teams to manage insurance obligations and claims processes.
• During factory construction, support insurance-related activities associated with construction projects as needed.
