Job summary

HMSHost is seeking an Accounting Specialist II at Maui Airport to support general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable or payroll. This non-exempt role involves bank reconciliations, record-keeping and collaboration with the corporate office.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and 3 years in payroll or clerical accounting. Excellent communication and basic keyboarding are required, with comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years payroll and/or clerical accounting experience
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, outgoing manner
• Ability to read, understand instructions and policy documents; converse with customers
• Basic keyboarding or repetitive motions required

Responsibilities

• Maintains logs and ledgers to facilitate period close
• Prepares financial reports, records and bills for the Corporate office
• Handles accounts receivable functions including daily cash and vouchers
• Processes invoices and researches discrepancies in accounts payable
• Processes bi-weekly payroll and reviews payroll registers
• Conducts cash audits and related controls; monitors cashier audits
