Build your career as an Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, assisting with the monthly close process, account reconciliations, participating in external audits, and helping improve accounting processes by evaluating opportunities to add value. This role offers a tremendous opportunity for impact and ownership from day one, including helping us build a scalable finance foundation.

Job Challenges

• Support the accounting closing process to ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly analytical reviews of main account fluctuations.
• Handle accounts payable monthly reconciliations.
• Reconcile payment processor balances monthly.
• Lead the shipping and fulfillment cost monthly analysis and reconciliation within the Accounting Department.
• Manage wholesale monthly reconciliations, including invoices, payments, and commissions, within the relevant Squad and Tribe.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, regulations, and company policies, staying current with changes and implementing necessary adjustments.
• Maintain and improve current accounting processes and infrastructure to support new business areas.
• Participate in internal and external audit preparations by providing documentation and support.

Job requirements

• 5+ years of experience at a Big Four accounting firm, specializing in auditing or BPO services for retail or e-commerce companies, or
• 1+ years of experience as a Senior at a Big Four firm, combined with 2+ years as a Senior or Specialist in accounting within a retail company.
• Experience with inventory valuation analysis and reconciliation is mandatory.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills are required.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Strong accounting experience with IFRS is mandatory; familiarity with SOX / US GAAP is a plus.
• Experience with Netsuite ERP is valued.
