Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of accounting, AP, AR, or bookkeeping experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and post vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Apply customer payments including cash, ACH, credit card, and lockbox.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account issues.
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve items.
• Support AP and AR functions as needed.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with process improvements and special projects.

As an Accounting Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting vendors, customers, and internal teams while contributing to the financial success of one of the largest privately held waste and recycling companies in the Western United States.

What You'll Do

• Process and post vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Apply incoming customer payments including cash, ACH, credit card, and lockbox transactions.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account issues.
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve outstanding items.
• Support both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as business needs require.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with process improvements and special projects.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of accounting, AP, AR, or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities.
