  • Review invoice coding and documentation for compliance with accounting policies, authorization requirements, and internal controls
  • Prepare and coordinate weekly payment runs through check, ACH, or wire transfer
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding or aged items
  • Analyze accounts payable aging and payment activity to identify trends, duplicates, exceptions, or potential issues
  • Serve as a resource to vendors and internal stakeholders regarding accounts payable processes and documentation requirements
  • Prepare recurring and routine non-recurring journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Perform assigned bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Research account variances, identify root causes, and recommend adjustments or corrective actions
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities by managing assigned responsibilities and deadlines
  • Review assigned account activity for unusual transactions, trends, or discrepancies
  • Apply established accounting policies and U.S. GAAP principles to assigned transactions
  • Prepare financial schedules, account analyses, and supporting documentation for reporting, management review, and audits
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis projects by gathering, validating, analyzing, and summarizing financial information
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and electronic documentation to support audit readiness, record-retention requirements, and internal controls
  • Monitor compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, recommend solutions, and assist with implementing approved changes
  • Build effective working relationships with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties consistent with the scope and level of the position
The Skills & Experience you need:

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain accounting issues clearly to vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize assigned work independently, and recognize when matters require escalation
