Job Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial and business transactions.
• Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Bill clients accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable and ensure payments are received for goods and services.
• Work with other departments to ensure the correct amounts are collected in a timely manner.
• Review accounting processes and identify the need for new or improved controls.
• Analyze and project accounting data to help evaluate the impact of proposed plans on investments, income, cash position, and overall financial condition.
• Help ensure the accounting system provides an accurate foundation for management reporting.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records.
• Send payment reminders and follow up with clients regarding outstanding accounts.
• Contact clients to discuss account balances, payments, and billing questions.
• File and maintain accounting documentation and paperwork.
• Assist with general administrative and clerical accounting tasks.
• Perform other accounting, purchasing, and related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• Professional accounting certifications or continuing education are beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience in both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) required.
• Previous experience in a similar accounting role is required.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and maintaining financial records and accounting documentation.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience using accounting software, spreadsheets, and enterprise financial systems.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive financial information.
• Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent data entry skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple tasks.
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage time.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting, financial analysis, auditing, budgeting, or corporate finance is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software is beneficial.
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax preparation, compliance, or internal controls is considered an asset.
