Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling Inc. is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage daily financial operations, including AR/AP, reconciliations, reporting, and vendor/customer support. You will work with the ERP system and collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel. This on-site role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting, AP/AR, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• ERP experience preferred; Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accounting transactions accurately and timely within the company's ERP system.
• Support customer and vendor communications, including responding to questions and resolving account discrepancies.
• Assist with billing, payment processing, collections support, and invoice processing.
• Perform account reconciliations, research variances, and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reports.
• Prepare routine accounting reports and monitor outstanding items for follow-up.
• Maintain organized records to support audits and internal review.
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives within Finance.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, customer service, procurement, and management teams.
