McCON's Support Center team manages commercial construction projects across the continental US. We are a family-owned company known for our experience in commercial construction, our service to our clients, and our performance, both in the field and administratively. We are seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end close processes by reconciling project-related AP and AR accounts.
- Enter receipts and invoices into the accounting system accurately and on time.
- Review receipts and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Assign the correct job cost codes to expenses, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Ensure costs are charged to the appropriate job, phase, and cost category.
- Work with project managers and field staff to clarify coding and expense details when needed.
- Help identify and correct coding errors or missing information.
- Support accurate job cost tracking by ensuring all expenses are entered and coded properly.
- Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Experience with Sage Contractor 100 Software or equivalent Integrated Accounting & Project Management Software preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with knowledge of Excel.
- Organized and able to manage a high volume of receipts and documentation.
- Construction or job costing experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail.
