Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting activities using QuickBooks Online.
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Maintain accurate financial records using double-entry accounting principles.
• Utilize Excel for reconciliations, schedules, reporting, and financial tracking.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative needs as they arise.

Accounting Specialist

Pay: $26-29/hour

Our client, a well-established company in the Bridgeport area, is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role will support the day-to-day accounting functions of the business, with a strong focus on QuickBooks Online, Excel, reconciliations, and general accounting support.

The company is open to considering candidates at different experience levels, from someone earlier in their accounting career with a solid foundation to a more experienced accounting professional who can step in and work independently.
