Beacon College in Leesburg, FL seeks an Assistant Director of Accounting Services to support the Director of Accounting Services in the administration of the College's accounting and payroll functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls.

This leadership role oversees the Payroll/General Accounting Specialist, manages accounting transactions and reconciliations, supports audits and financial reporting, and assists with process

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes.
• Experience with payroll accounting and internal controls.
• Ability to lead staff and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Payroll/General Accounting Specialist and ensure timely, accurate work.
• Review/approve/process accounting transactions including GL activity and payroll entries.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Assist with month-end/quarter-end close, audits, and Form 990 preparation.
• Lead process improvements and special accounting projects.
